Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable, acing our cleaning tests and tackling different types of floors. Choose models that allow you to choose between multiple modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the best models are compatible with smartphones. Check for an app that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning options.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of floors and rooms.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to locate the downstairs area, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, along with carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive right up to walls without hitting them, and was able to traverse thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes was unable to navigate down stairs in a single step. The S1 also did a great job of cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to each mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to prevent it from becoming blocked. You will also need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them becoming clogged up with dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an effective solution for your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with many innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstructions and cleans furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as required.
This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the process. It includes a rechargeable hand vacuum for those areas that the robot isn't able to reach and two water tanks that are automatically empty and replenished as needed. It comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are robust, however it is sometimes hung up on the tiny carpets or area mats that I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by creating a virtual border within the application). The mopping capabilities are quite impressive, and comes with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. best robot cleaner launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our best robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush ensure a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests well by avoiding pet hairs as well as other mess. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It is able to move from one room to the next without having to reverse direction. This is a great feature for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a wide space between obstacles. This can result in miss-hit spots.
The app is streamlined, intuitive interface that should be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, alter the suction power and mopping settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It is accessible through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri which allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. But, you'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it via the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris but it's not always able to reach every last piece of dust. It's important to vacuum often, at least once a week. This is especially true for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network, and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's expensive S-series models, which include the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it doesn't have mopping capabilities, and also has a plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to wipe your floors, the Q5 still has some of the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot in this price range. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It also has a clever app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.

Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power to tackle dirt, dust, and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any issues with high-pile carpets or area rug, but it was unable to pick up kitty litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also uses an innovative mapping system that lets it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums cannot. The K10 Plus also has the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as often. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters that further lower the cost of using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and boost suction if necessary. You can also mark off areas you would like to keep out of the app.
